Travel and Lodging
We are looking forward to welcoming you to Montana for the NIC! We’d like you to know that flights, hotels, rental cars, and dinner reservations are all hard to come by in September. Reserve early and often. Here are a few helpful links:
- Glacier Country has an incredible amount of good information about where to stay/eat and what to do.
- Speaking of Glacier, here’s what you need to know to enter the park through September 28. Yes, reservations are required to travel the Going-to-the-Sun Road beyond Apgar on the west side. Reservations are not required to enter the park from the west to spend time at the foot of Lake McDonald/Apgar, but a park pass always is. If you are adding a few days on to your trip, you should know that reservations are not required to enter the Sun Road at St. Mary. However, the St. Mary entrance is approximately 2.5 hours from Kalispell, accessed via US Highway 2 E and then US 89 N. Learn more here.
