RENEWABLE ENERGY GENERATION PROJECTS
Chugach Electric Association, Inc. (Chugach) is soliciting proposals for renewable energy generation projects.
The intent of this RFP is to add renewable energy sources to increase the proportion of renewable energy generated, to reduce carbon emissions, to preserve natural gas resources and to diversify Chugach’s energy supply resources while maintaining reliability and not increasing rates for Chugach’s member-customers. Chugach is seeking renewable energy projects able to generate at least 1,000 MWh per year to meet Chugach’s goal of adding 100,000 MWh per year of renewable energy by the end of first quarter 2025.

An optional pre-proposal meeting will be held by Microsoft Teams videoconference on October 14, 2021, at 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Alaska Time. Link to join the meeting.
Questions related to this RFP should be submitted via email as instructed above and are due no later than 4:00 PM, Alaska Time, Monday, November 22, 2021. Responses to questions will be provided by 4:00 PM, Alaska Time, Friday, December 3, 2021. Questions received after the due date may not receive a response.
Proposals are due, uploaded at Chugach’s website under the Inside Chugach tab, Bid Opportunities link, RFP No. 21-23 – Renewable Energy Generation Projects – Submit Technical Proposal button, no later than 4:00 PM, Alaska Time, Friday, December 17, 2021.
This RFP does not commit Chugach to award a contract, pay any costs incurred in preparing and submitting a proposal, or to procure or contract for any services. Chugach reserves the right to define and waive irregularities, to accept or reject any or all proposals, to negotiate with all qualified sources, or to reissue, withdraw or cancel this RFP in part or in its entirety at any time. Chugach also reserves the right to waive or modify any provisions of this RFP, including (without limitation) the right to relax or eliminate mandatory requirements
