Golden Valley Electric Association is soliciting for circuit breaker(s) to be installed at one or more of GVEA’s substations that operate at a nominal 138kV. The elevations of these substations vary from approximately 400 to 2,900 feet above sea level. The ambient temperature range is -58° F (-50°C) to 100°F (38°C). The circuit breaker shall be designed to withstand wind speeds of 105 mph or NESC Heavy Loading District, whichever is greater. The circuit breaker will be designed to withstand 1 inch of radial ice loading.

The power circuit breaker furnished under these specifications shall be in accordance with all the requirements of applicable ANSI, ASTM, NEMA, and IEEE standards. All materials and devices shall be in accordance with the applicable requirements of the Federal “Occupational Safety and Health Standards”.
