INVITATION FOR RE-BID
NOTICE TO BIDDERS: Jefferson County Public Utility District No. 1 in Port Townsend, WA invites sealed bids (base bid and alternate bid) to be received at the office of the District located at 310 Four Corners Road, Port Townsend, WA 98368 until 2:00 p.m., Pacific Standard Time, on Thursday, September 26th, 2019, for the single General Contract which includes General, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and other work for the JPUD OPS CENTER ADDITION & TI as indicated per the bid documents. Prospective bidders are hereby notified that they are solely responsible for ensuring timely delivery of their bid to Jefferson County Public Utility District No.1 on or before the bid submission date and time indicated above. Bids received on time will immediately be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after the time indicated above, cannot be considered. Architect’s base bid estimate is between $3,000,000.00 - $3,200,000.00.
BIDDING DOCUMENTS: Bidding Documents are those prepared by TCF Architecture, PLLC, 902 N 2nd Street, Tacoma, WA 98403; (253) 572-3993. Beginning Tuesday, September 10th, the Builders Exchange will provide free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to www.bxwa.com and clicking on "Posted Projects", "Public Works", and "Jefferson County Public Utility District #1". This online plan room provides Bidders with fully usable online documents with the ability to: download, view, print, order full/partial plan sets from numerous reprographic sources, and a free online digitizer/take-off tool. It is recommended that Bidders “Register” in order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda and to place themselves on the “Self-Registered Bidders List". Bidders that do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the on-line plan room for addenda issued on this project. BID SECURITY: A certified check, bank cashier's check or bid bond executed by a State licensed surety company made payable to Jefferson County Public Utility District No. 1 is required with each bid, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Base Bid plus Additive Alternates, if any.
PREVAILING RATE OF WAGE: Pursuant to RCW 39.12, no worker, laborer, or mechanic employed in the performance of any part of this contract shall be paid less than the ‘prevailing rate of wage’ (in effect as the date the bids are due) as determined by the Industrial Statistician of the Department of Labor and Industries. Copies of the prevailing wage rate schedule are available directly from the Department of Labor and Industries.
REJECTION OF BIDS: Jefferson County Public Utility District No. 1 reserves the right to waive informalities and to reject any and/or all Bids for any reason and in particular to reject a bid no accompanied by any required bid security or data required by the Bidding Documents or a Bid in any way incomplete or irregular.
