Clatskanie People’s Utility District (CPUD) is requesting proposals for the engineering, design, procurement, and construction of an Emergency Standby Engine-Generator Replacement at the CPUD headquarters. Project location is 495 E. Columbia River Highway, Clatskanie, OR.
CPUD currently has a 70 kW propane-fueled Engine-Generator in the headquarters’ gated yard which does not have enough generation capacity to deliver full load to the entire headquarters when in operation. The current system has 1,000 gallons of propane storage, which does not allow the unit to operate for the desired two-week outage period.
CPUD proposes to construct a new Engine-Generator to provide standby power when there are grid outages. The Engine-Generator will be designed to provide sufficient backup power in the event of power outages due to inclement weather or a major Cascadian Subduction Zone earthquake. The power generated by the Engine-Generator will also feed two local transformers for two additional businesses. The Engine-Generator will automatically start when the utility supply is lost.
Complete information can be viewed on the District’s website: www.clatskaniepud.com under RFP: Emergency Standby Engine-Generator.
Sealed proposals must be received no later than 2:00 pm – PDT, November 20, 2023, at the CPUD office:
