
(May 27) On May 21, at Northwest Public Power Association’s 85th Annual Business Meeting in Santa Rosa, California, the NWPPA Board of Trustees announced it had appointed Libby Calnon of Hood River Electric & Internet Co-op (Ore.) as the 2025-2026 NWPPA board president. The board also appointed the following officers:
- First Vice President Joe Wilson, Tacoma Public Utilities (Wash.)
- Second Vice President Bill Swick, Kootenai Electric Cooperative (Idaho)
- Secretary/Treasurer Jonathan Dahl, Wells Rural Electric Company (Nev.)
- Immediate Past President John Haarlow, Snohomish County PUD (Wash.)
Also at the meeting, NWPPA membership elected the following individuals to the board for a first three-year term:
- Rob Montgomery, Homer Electric Association (Alaska)
- Laura Lewis, SMUD (Calif.)
- Mike Klaus, City of Bonners Ferry (Idaho)
- Chris White, Yellowstone Valley Electric Cooperative (Mont.)
- Dawn Lindell, Seattle City Light (Wash.)
- Chris Davis, Inland Power & Light Company (Wash.)
- Danielle Gore, Gore Electric (associate member representative)
- Kevin Mara, GDS Associates (associate member representative)
Membership also elected the following interim trustee to the board for a first three-year term:
- Nicholas Dominguez, Lassen Municipal Utility District (Calif.)
And reelected the following individuals to the board for a second three-year term:
- Alex Cousins, Trinity PUD (Calif.)
- Frank Lawson, Eugene Water & Electric Board (Ore.)
- Michael Collins, Wasco Electric Cooperative (Ore.)
- Robert Carr, National Rural Electric Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation (associate member representative)
Additionally, at the May 20 board of trustees meeting, the board appointed the following interim trustee:
- Brian Hickey, City of Seward Electric Department (Alaska)
NWPPA is governed by a 41-member board of trustees comprised of member utility representatives and associate member representatives.
