This is a Utility Support Supervisor position that directs the overall operation of the Utility Support Department. This position is responsible for the timely and accurate completion of processes related to billing, month end, year end, and other billing procedures as well as special tasks such as capital credit allocation and capital credit general retirement. Duties include coordinating the activities of Utility Support with other departments.

Experience Required:

Qualified applicants must have a high school education (or equivalent) and three years supervisory experience, five years’ experience in utility billing, capital credits, collections and customer service functions or an Associate’s Degree and 3 years’ experience in utility billing, capital credits, collections, and customer service functions. The applicant must demonstrate strong initiative and work ethics, good attitude, proactive, creative, well-organized, self-starter, highly motivated and has the ability to work under high demand situations. Proficiency in various MS Office products, and 10-key with the aptitude to learn new programs and acquire new skills as the cooperative transitions to new software systems and processes.  The applicant must have the ability to communicate on many levels with programmers and technical staff with regards to the Utility Billing System and possess research and analytical skills to propose solutions to billing issues. Must have the ability to work effectively and communicate clearly with customers/members, vendors and employees while maintaining a strict level of confidentiality and professionalism. Must possess, or ability to obtain, Oregon Driver’s License.  This is a Salary/Exempt position.
