Position:

The Truckee Donner Public Utility District (Truckee Donner PUD) is looking to fill a Journeyman Lineman position.

Under direct supervision of the Electric Foreman and the general supervision of the Electric Operations Manager, the Journeyman Lineman constructs, operates, and maintains the electric power systems within the District.   Please click the link for a full job description of essential duties and qualifications.

With roots dating to 1927, the Truckee Donner PUD provides sustainable, reliable, and high-quality water and electric services to over 13,000 electric customers and over 12,500 water customers in greater Truckee, a service area of 45.5 square miles.

Minimum Qualifications:

To be qualified for this position a candidate must have a high school diploma, successful completion of the Electric Lineman Apprenticeship program, thorough knowledge of power system facilities including substations, switchgear, protective devices and primary and secondary electrical distribution equipment and thorough knowledge of principles and practices of power system operation, maintenance and construction standards.   A candidate must have a valid class A CDL drivers license, be CPR & First Aid certified, have the ability to climb power poles and structures without the aid of man-lift equipment, and ability to perform pole top, vault, and bucket rescue within OSHA standards.
