The Work:

Organizing, managing and delivering first class training, development, networking and learning events that support, enhance and grow employee skills and capabilities in public power utilities in the Western US and British Columbia. Engage with advisory teams, committees, instructors, leaders and teammates to ensure best in class programs for participants in fields such as Customer Service, Labor Relations, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Communications and Operations. Deliver on projects such as small group meetings to hands on training, to online learning to conferences and trade shows.

A public power, not-for-profit association dedicated to the service of our 154 public utility members and 300+ associate members in 9 western states (including Alaska) and British Columbia. We are small (14 employees) but mighty and focus on three main deliverables for our members: education and workforce development, award winning communications and federal level legislative and regulatory advocacy. We are in our 78Th year of service, fiercely proud of the work we do and in need of a new teammate who will help take our work to the next level of excellence.

You are organized, a true multi-tasker, thrive on your own learning, researching latest trends, experimenting with new ideas and excited about traveling throughout the west to deliver on our programs and events.

Some Specifics:

This is a full time role that requires a strong service orientation, project management experience, an interest in learning and development, proven ability to work with and in teams and a desire to travel about 40% of the time. It would be awesome if you had experience in learning and development, technical expertise in any of the areas listed above and/or have worked in an electric utility.
