Matanuska Electric Association, Inc. (MEA) is excited to announce new leadership positions in support of its role as a vertically-integrated generation, transmission, and distribution utility within Alaska’s Railbelt community. These positions will provide a high level of technical expertise and guidance as well as strong leadership for their respective departments. MEA has three outstanding career opportunities available:
Senior Manager of Engineering
Responsibilities include oversight of the functional areas of distribution design, transmission line design, line construction, right-of-way matters and planning. Requires Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and PE.
Senior Manager of Operations
Responsibilities include oversight of the functional areas of line maintenance, clearing, mechanic shop/rolling stock, and building facilities.
Senior Manager of Technical Services
Responsibilities include oversight of the functional areas of substation design, substation construction, substation maintenance, metering, communications, relaying and SCADA. For this position MEA is seeking an individual with a background in system protection and project management experience. Requires Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and PE.
These positions will work at a senior manager level reporting to the Director of Power Delivery and require individuals who have excellent collaborative leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills. Qualified candidates must be self-directed and deadline driven with strong project management skills.
