Manages materials warehouse operations including distribution and disposal of goods and equipment. Manages contract origination, development and administration operations ranging from small service contracts to large construction contract bids. Establishes procedures, contributes to policy making, controls expenditures and ensures compliance with all applicable regulations. Primary contact for internal and external auditors. Directs the work of purchasing, contracting and warehousing supervisors and staff.
Bachelor’s degree (B. S. or B. A.) in Business from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Individuals with a degree in supply chain management or materials management are preferred. Requires at least 5 years’ supervisory experience in
purchasing, contracting or materials management. Individuals with experience in all areas are preferred. Individuals with experience in public works contracting or the utility industry are also preferred.
