Supervisor V, Project Management (R17-592)

POSITION PURPOSE

Responsible for supervision of project managers for the Company’s large power generation, transmission, and distribution projects.  Provide leadership to ensure capital investment plans are executed in a manner consistent with the defined project scope, budget, and schedule. Ensure that project management processes are developed and implemented effectively and consistently across all projects to deliver results (safe execution, on-budget, on-schedule, risks minimized/mitigated).  Ensure compliance with regulatory and PGE corporate requirements.  Coordinate with various PGE departments and groups, outside contractors/vendors as required to ensure successful execution of projects. This position is expected to support projects that may be in remote locations requiring frequent travel to the construction jobsite.

Experience Required:

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field.
  • Requires 8 or more years of experience in the project management, construction management, engineering, design, operation, or maintenance of electrical facilities.
  • Utility experience and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with management/supervisory experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of project management principles and concepts.
  • Effective understanding of utility economics and the business side of the company.
