Supervisor V, Substation Operations
Supervise and manage essential functions involving Substation Electrical Maintenance, Construction and other operation functions in RC 216, 217, 206 and 214. This positon provides support to SCC, Substation Operations Engineering, Construction and Maintenance Wireman crews, Regional Line Departments and Storerooms. This positon maybe require up to but not limited to 10% overnight travel on an annual basis. This position requires the successful applicant serve up to 12 weeks per annual on 24/7 call duty which includes nights, weekends and holidays. During this time it would require the applicant to not travel outside the service territory, take vacation and be fit for duty during their on-call period.
Knowledge, Skills and abilities
- Minimum high school education or GED
- Accredited Union Apprenticeship or equivalent technical education
- Substation Wireman Foreman level experience in a skilled trade(s) or leadership experience in applicable trade.
- A successful candidate will have background leading teams(s) in a production environment where safety, training and professionalism are #1 priority. Experience in leading teams that operate, maintaining and building of electrical grids, produce industrial products and/or safety leadership is a plus.
- Experience using electronic time collection, accounting reconciliation and process approval software is a plus.
Physical requirement: Ability to work long hours when required occasionally stands for extended time, walk on uneven surfaces and occasionally lift/slide/move items weighing up to 65 pounds.
