Supervisor – Distribution Service & Design This position will provide direct supervision of Service Design Project Managers (SDPMs), Designers, and Design Technicians. This position will create an environment of open communication to build a strong local Service & Design team. Using creative problem solving to generate new solutions, share procedures and information with other design teams and Distribution. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Supervise and lead SDPMs and the local Design group to meet internal and external customer needs for distribution design and project management. Understand customer design needs to better deliver high quality design services. Implement and measure effects of current programs and new work processes on Team goals. Work closely with local management, including area line managers, general foremen, storeroom, survey and other workgroups. Create a Service & Design Team that demonstrates excellence in all its work. 30% Lead discussion and analysis of new and existing PGE design practices, standards, rules, and tariffs. Create cost savings and customer satisfaction while ensuring that PGEs safety and electrical system requirements are met. Responsible for the technical work and relations with PGE customers to apply electrical service requirements (ESR book) and meet National Electric Safety Code, PGE Construction Standards, and OPUC tariff. Ensure continuous improvement of design processes. Work as a team with other Service and Design supervisors to address design issues, review and recommend potential changes to tariff or rule interpretations. Build upon the consistent application of PGE work practices. Represent PGE with key external constituencies and customers. Build customer relations through job site visits, direct contact with individual customers, government agencies and involvement in local industry associations. Routinely communicate with customers to resolve issues or questions regarding distribution design projects. Participate in the local associations and industry groups. Use relationships and contacts to expedite the flow of customer information, meet customer needs and improve overall satisfaction with PGE. Motivate and encourage your Service & Design Team to collaborate with other PGE teams, such as the Line Department, Key Customer Management, Property Services, Engineering, and Customer Service. Experience Required:

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Typically eight years of professional experience, with two years of project management or supervisory experience. Possess a valid drivers license and provide an acceptable, privately owned vehicle to conduct company business. Thorough knowledge of energy tariff, rules, policies, and practices. (standards, current accounting system, current Franchise Agreements, Electric Service Requirements Book, etc) especially as they relate to PGE Knowledge of all aspects of line department operations, design, transmission and distribution systems, rules and regulations, and applicable codes relating to electrical service delivery. (NEC, NESC) Strong leadership and supervisory skills, including creative problem solving and technical analysis. Working knowledge of PGEs organization, finance, budget, human resources, and administrative procedures preferred PHYSICAL/MENTAL ABILITIES AND PROCESSES Requires substantial decision-making activities–evaluating and prioritizing work, allocating resources, and personnel decisions. Will lead team to develop goals and team scorecard, review and recommend process improvements and implement design processes. Requires substantial reasoning capabilities–synthesizing creative solutions with critical thinking to deal with complex problems. Includes dispute resolution with customers to maintain PGEs reputation within the community.
