Assist in the construction, operations and maintenance of the PUD’s electric substation and metering systems.
Requires high school diploma or equivalent and a Journeyman certification in an electrical trade and 3 years of relevant work experience. Demonstrated satisfactory work experience performing tasks requiring attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy is required. Must be familiar with or have the ability to learn computer operating systems required to program, interrogate and manage a variety of meters, relays and controls to assist engineering and operations. Special Requirements: Must live within the service territory, and within a 30-minute drive time from the Operations Center, within six months of hire. Must possess a good driving record. Requires current first aid/CPR card or the ability to get certified within six months of hire. Ability to obtain a Class A Washington Commercial driver’s license within 9 months is required.
