Specialist V, Geospatial Information Systems (R18-304)

POSITION PURPOSE

Apply demonstrated experience and knowledge of ESRI and ArcFM systems, configurations, processes, analysis, and integrations to enterprise-level systems to develop solutions within the GIS Department domain. Support creation and enhancement of solutions and configurations, enterprise data integrity, and spatial analysis products and services via development, administration, design, testing, documentation, implementation, maintenance, and training activities. Demonstrate enhanced ESRI and ArcFM skills via completion of advanced skills training, pursuit of GIS professional certification, participation in professional associations and activities, or pursuit of Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems GIS, or related fields.

Experience Required:

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems GIS, Geography, Engineering, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience developing within an ESRI environment that has Schneider Electric applications installed (ArcFM, Designer, Conduit Manager, and Fiber Manager).
  • Proficient knowledge of ESRI and ArcFM principles, techniques, products, and strategies for delivering capability to a broad user community.
  • Thorough knowledge of geographic information system principles and techniques including concepts, queries, application development, analysis, spatial modeling, and editing.
  • Strong programming skills in JavaScript, C#, .NET, Python, SQL, and Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Experience with ArcGIS Server REST API development, ArcGIS Engine development, ArcGIS Runtime SDK development, and ArcGIS Desktop development.
  • Knowledge of relational data theory, structured programming technique, structured development methodology, data normalization rules and physical database design.
  • Ability to understand database concepts and objects and ensure data integrity across multiple data sources, software and tools.
