Specialist V, Construction Management

POSITION PURPOSE
This position’s purpose is to ensure PGE Operations Contractors are available and provide the value and quality of line work outsourced to our Line operations contractors. It plays a key role in PGE’s accountability to service quality requirements mandated by the PUC regarding sour system responsibility to public safety.
It provides Construction Management services to ensure PGE standards, safety objectives and regulatory requirements are adhered to as they oversee T&D construction projects under contract. This position crosses functional boundaries of design, finance and construction with construction contracts to ensure individual project targets are met so T & D operations meet corporate goals. It provides PGE’s Sourcing and Contracts Supply Chain essential operational oversight in creation of written contracts, the RFP process, construction quality assurance and approval for payment in adherence to their contracts.
It services individual contract needs for T&D Engineering Service and Design Project Managers, Transmission Engineering Specialized Design, Fitnes Program, Dock Crew contract, Design services contract, and Flagging Contracts working closely with Planning and Scheduling Line Dispatch to meet scheduling needs.
This position inside of Contract Services and Inspections may take on the role of coordinating and scheduling individual job assignments to the department’s Construction Managers ensuring schedule, and cost control.
