Specialist III, Standards – Distribution Engineering & Standards (R17-577)

 

POSITION PURPOSE

This position is responsible for performing the duties of a fully competent specialist in the areas of transmission and distribution equipment and material management, device maintenance, and reliability improvement.  Coordinate all revisions to T&D material and equipment catalog additions, deletions, and revisions.  Develop and maintain transmission and distribution device maintenance records.

Experience Required:

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field.
  • At least 3 years working in the field of electric utility engineering, standards, or material management.
  • Effective written communication skills.  Ability to prepare and deliver presentation materials with minimal supervision.
  • Basic knowledge of PGE or utility construction practices and procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of PGE or utility Standards and Distribution Engineering software applications including PeopleSoft, Maximo, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Basic knowledge of electric distribution equipment and materials.
