SPECIALIST II, Designer (R16-538)


Provide electrical design and drafting services in a team environment for new customer connections (single family, large residential, multi-family, commercial, and industrial) and for transmission and distribution integrity (cut sheet, road widening, feeder, and transmission and distribution line).  Use the graphics-based facilities management system (ArcMap/ArcFM and design tools at PGE for design and to update and maintain the electrical distribution model and the geographic information system (GIS).   ESRI GIS skills preferred.

Experience Required:

Top candidates will have:



·       Knowledge of distribution overhead and underground design standards and materials. Basic Working
·       Knowledge of drafting application skills. Working Thorough
·       Demonstrated knowledge of computer workstations, printers and plotters. Working Thorough
·       Demonstrated knowledge of CAD theory and techniques, with minimum two years CAD experience. Working Thorough
·       Knowledge of electrical systems and theory. Basic Working
·       Significant visual conceptualizing, logical reasoning, and problem solving skills. Effective Thorough
·       Familiarity with surveying information. Working Thorough
·       Effective communication and human relation skills (for project coordination). Effective Thorough
·       Typical years of experience before advancement to next level. 3-5 Years N/A
