Specialist IV, Utility Asset Management


In support of Utility and Non-Utility Work:

  • To provide design and deployment expertise in electrical transmission and distribution systems and wireless and hardwired communication networks; to manage multi-state, multi-utility network deployment; to oversee contract auditors and results; to manage customer relationships.
  • To provide enhanced levels of efficiencies and customer service, leveraging both hardware and software technologies to manage significant volumes of data at a reduced cost/unit.
Experience Required:


  • A bachelor’s degree in business, project management or engineering preferred
  • 5 years of Utility Design Experience.
  • Experience with Maximo, ArcFM or related programs.
  • Intermediate experience using Excel and the MS Suite of Products
  • Proficiency in performing structural analysis using design tools such as LDField.
  • Proficiency in pole loading analysis using programs such as Pole Foreman and O-Calc
  • Demonstrated ability to apply complex engineering, design and maintenance concepts, electrical and telecommunication standards, and governing codes.
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical and telecommunications standards and practices. Working knowledge of the National Electric Safety Code (NESC) and Telecommunications Act of 1996.
  • Demonstrated project management skills managing multiple projects with changing timelines.
  • Proficient communication skills.  Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with multiple utility customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external customers and contractors.
