Spec IV, Planner/Scheduler (R18-025)


Receive schedulable work prepared by T&D Engineering and Design, Service Coordination, and UAM, which are then scheduled according to customer commitment guidelines and overall priorities.  The position coordinates completion of pre-requisites related to scheduling (such as locates, special equipment needs, customer and other entity communications, etc.)


Line Resource Scheduling (75%)

  • Scheduling of work to Line crews in the 2 day to 4 week timeframe
  • Coordinate completion of scheduling pre-requisites such as locates, tree trimming and landscaping, resource coordinator site inspections, planning of shutdowns, coordination of cut sheets, crow orders, logistics for delivery of materials and outside services, coordinating equipment rental, permitting notification and renewal, etc
  • Coordinate with peer Planner/Schedulers about crew availability and prioritization, optimizing use of resources to achieve the annual work plan
  • Provide backup to peer Planner/Schedulers when they are absent
Experience Required:


Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of experience and education to demonstrate ability to perform major job duties.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in planning and scheduling
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a position directly related to T&D operations.
  • Broad perspective of Distribution Operations.
  • Working Knowledge of Maximo Work Management System
  • Working knowledge of Logica ARM Scheduler
  • Basic knowledge of Project Management and Construction Management methodology
