Basic Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Manager, Substation Construction & Operations, Lead Foreman and/or Wireman Foreman works on the construction, maintenance and operations of Station and Substation equipment throughout Snohomish County.  Work with multiple utility departments on special projects and/or equipment repairs in both high and low voltages, in time sensitive environments. Transport loads by driving trucks to desired locations, following all applicable rules and laws.  Candidate must be willing to be called into work during non-business hours for power outages, accidents, equipment failures, break-in’s and/or for scheduled overtime work and have the ability to analyze and solve Substation equipment problems.  Candidate must be able to work in a team environment and on some occasions work alone.  All work must be performed in a safe manner while being an active part of the utility safety culture.

Minimum Qualifications

•           Must qualify as a Wireman Journeyman by having completed three (3) years of training in Wireman work, or its equivalent.

•           High School diploma or equivalent.

•           Obtain a valid Washington State Commercial Driver License (Class A) within six (6) months from job start date with maintenance thereafter.

•           Obtain a valid First Aid certificate within 3 months from job start date.

•           Obtain a valid CPR certificate within 3 months from job start date.
