Oregon Trail Electric Cooperative (OTEC), has an immediate opening for a Senior Network and System Administrator/Analyst to be based at headquarters in Baker City, Oregon.
This salaried exempt position provides technical leadership over the enterprise computing environment which includes designing, engineering, installing, configuring, maintaining and supporting enterprise computer networks, hardware, software and mobile devices. The person in this position will develop innovative technical solutions to enhance productivity for the organization and cultivate and maintain an in-depth knowledge of current and emerging computer and information technologies.
OTEC has 80 employees and four district offices serving over 30,000 consumers located in eastern Oregon. Surrounded by national forest lands, our service area is known for its excellent hunting, fishing, skiing, and other outdoor recreational activities. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline or five years of technical experience supporting an enterprise computer environment. Applicants should have experience installing, operating, and maintaining hardware and operating systems including virtual environments and experience with Windows operating system imaging, build, deployment, and lifecycle management. Experience with LAN/WANs, network planning, and the administration of routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs is required. The successful candidate will have knowledge of the components of a security infrastructure including domain controllers, security applications, and anti-virus. Problem solving and research skills are required as well as the ability to communicate clearly and precisely with fellow employees. CISCO and Microsoft certifications are a plus.
The successful candidate must possess or obtain, and maintain a valid Oregon driver’s license.
