The Safety Manager is responsible to interact with personnel at all levels and provide services that encompass; consultation, research, coordination, development, implementation, training, oversite, instruction, review, monitoring and continued focus on safety related programs while ensuring a safe environment. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations and instrumental in helping to establish and maintain a culture of safety at the District.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in safety, health, industrial hygiene, or related field and five years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Associate Safety professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or Certified Utility Safety Administrator Certification (CUSA) designation preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations:
Must have a valid Driver’s license.
