Duties:

As the Rates and Forecasting Team Lead you will:

  • Manage, develop, and evaluate Tacoma Power’s rates and pricing strategies including coordinating the public rate case process.  This effort also involves participation in public outreach efforts and working with Tacoma Power’s rate advisor.
  • Direct and coordinate all requests for retail rate and pricing-related analysis and provision of rate-related information.
  • Serve as project lead and collaborate on various cross-functional teams devoted to improving business processes.
  • Direct and coordinate the efforts of professional analysts and insure that timely, high quality work products are produced from the Rates & Forecasting Group for all internal and external clients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Utility rates and regulatory experience preferred;
  • Experience modeling revenue requirements, cost-of-service analysis, and rate design preferred;
  • Understanding of current issues impacting the electric utility sector;
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, statistics, mathematics, economics, or similar field.  Graduate degree a plus.
Experience Required:

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of modeling revenue requirements, cost-of-service analysis, and rate design preferred;
  • Understanding of current issues impacting the electric utility sector;
  • Attention to detail with the ability to multitask;
  • Strong writing and presentation skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with peers in a team environment;
  • Reliable, high level of integrity.
