Alaska Village Electric Cooperative, Inc. (AVEC), a progressive and highly regarded generation and distribution electric utility serving 56 rural Alaskan communities, is seeking a dynamic executive team member to lead its Project Development and Key Accounts department.
This position is responsible for AVEC’s extensive community development and key accounts programs as well as conventional, alternative and renewable energy project development. Travel to remote Alaskan communities for work inspections and business relations is required.
Minimum Qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or directly related technical or business field, plus five (5) years of directly related experience at a supervisory or management level within public utilities. Preferred: Master’s degree with a broad knowledge of the utility industry to include: key accounts management, public utility regulatory practices and experience in development of renewable energy resources.
