Position Summary
Performs all classes of overhead and underground transmission and distribution work.
Required Education and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent.
Successful completion of an approved apprenticeship program for an electrical lineman and OSHA 1910.269 training.
Must possess a valid Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL) and IBEW card before assignment.

To effectively perform in this position a person must be able to take appropriate action on their own initiative.
Accuracy, timeliness, the willingness to promote customer satisfaction, and the ability to work well with other employees and the public are necessary to function in this position.
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Operate all vehicles and equipment used in construction, maintenance, and operation of overhead and underground power lines.
Perform substation maintenance, construction, and switching for both distribution and transmission voltages.
Construct, repair, and replace overhead transmission and distribution power lines and associated equipment.
Use safety equipment needed to safely work on or near energized conductors and associated electrical equipment.
Repair and trouble-shoot underground lines and equipment. Climb poles and other system structures proficiently.
Perform work in a safe manner in conformance with all applicable policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
Travel within all districts to assist with operational need may be required.
Other duties as assigned and as qualified to perform.
