Load Office Training Program Development Consultant #60182 Puget Sound Energy’s Training department is looking a Training Consultant to join our team! They will lead curriculum development and quality management efforts for the Transmission Load Office. We need someone who is able to maintain high quality training documents. The ideal candidate will be able to collaborate with instructional designers to ensure consistency, high quality materials, performance standards, and multi-level assessments for all courses and employee groups. The Training Program Development Consultant will mentor and train other training team members as well as collaborate and consult with other PSE departments to provide quality training and engage subject matter experts. Furthermore they will collaborate with Load Office management to ensure the training program and documentation adheres to NERC standards. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Perform all training activities including, but not limited to curriculum development/coordination/execution of stand-up/e-learning/simulator training, material documentation, performing gap/needs analysis, administration of LMS accuracy/processes and management quality assessments. • Ensure delivered training meets needs of Load Office employees. • Write and maintain accurate training documents and references. • Communicate training updates and process changes to end users. • Continual improvement of training processes, methods, strategies and techniques. • Measure training course and trainer effectiveness. • Coordinate with trainee’s leadership to ensure effective follow up and reinforcement of training efforts. • Perform one-on-one reinforcement and feedback sessions. • Collaborate with training team and leadership to reinforce and modify training as needed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years training and development experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience necessary to perform the job. • Possess advanced knowledge of adult learning principles, training needs analysis, instructional design methods, professional facilitation, evaluation methods, authoring systems, learning styles and generational differences in learners. • Successful demonstration of effective relationship building. • Must possess excellent communication skills; written and verbal. • Advanced planning and organizational skills. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Working knowledge of structure and operations of PSE or similar utility. • Working knowledge of business unit applications (ex: EMS, DTS, OMS, Tensing or other). • Advanced training in instructional design, adult education and training delivery skills. • Knowledge of the NERC Functional Model, standards requirements, and training systems including PER-005s systematic approach. • Knowledge of Utility CBT programs/vendors and electrical system training simulators. • CTT+ certification a plus.
