Duties:

Develops and maintains positive and productive relationships with employees and labor representatives. Responsible for all aspects of labor and employee relations including representing the District in labor negotiations, grievances and arbitrations; ensuring uniform and equitable application of the labor agreement, employment policies and practices and compliance with applicable labor laws; and assisting supervisors with resolving employee and organizational issues.

Experience Required:

Bachelor’s degree (B. S., B. A.) in Labor Relations, Industrial Relations, Human Resources, Business or a related field from a college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certified Labor Relations Professional designation preferred. Typically requires three
years’ professional experience in labor and employee relations. Prior experience negotiating or participating in collective bargaining including, drafting, and administering collective bargaining agreements and resolving labor and employee relations issues required. Demonstrated experience working effectively with craft-centered workforces and in a public utility is preferred. Labor relations experience with a public employer in Washington State desired.
