Placer County Water Agency encompasses the entire, 1,500-square-mile boundary of Placer County, ranging from the rim of the Sacramento Valley on the west to the Sierra Nevada and Lake Tahoe on the east. The Agency is headquartered in Auburn and carries out a broad range of responsibilities including water resource planning and management, retail and wholesale supply of irrigation water and drinking water, production of hydroelectric power and watershed stewardship across Placer County. We are seeking talented candidates to join our team for the position of:
HYDRO COMMUNICATIONS TECHNICIAN
$83,961 – $107,157 annually, DOQ, plus excellent benefits
PCWA is seeking an engaged individual to join its electrical maintenance team to maintain and repair electronic communications and control equipment associated with the Agency’s multi-purpose hydroelectric facilities. The position will be based out of the Agency’s Power System offices in Foresthill, CA. This position will be tasked with installation, testing, maintenance and troubleshooting duties for systems and equipment related to the Agency’s power system communication systems, including digital microwave radio, VHF radio, power line carrier, digital PBX phone, and LAN/WAN systems and RTUs.
The ideal candidate for this position will possess journey level experience in the maintenance and repair of electronic communication and control equipment; experience in hydroelectric facilities is highly desirable.
