Duties:

The Eugene Water and Electric Board is currently seeking a Financial Analyst I – Budget Analyst. The Budget Analyst will support the coordination, development and implementation of the corporate wide budget. The selected candidate will also support the analysis of utility retail/wholesale revenue, and expenditure data in support of budget/rate decisions and provide on-going monitoring of department budgets. Additionally this position will support the credit, compliance, and forecasting related to our trading portfolio.

Success in this position will require the ability to prioritize ongoing business activities, while addressing urgent needs and maintaining timely deliverables; effectively exercising independent judgment while appropriately managing company risks for customer owners; and the ability to work across departments on interdisciplinary teams.

Experience Required:

Minimum Experience:   Two years’ experience in budgeting, accounting, utility rate design, power risk management, credit reviews, or forecasting.

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field.

Equivalency:  An equivalent combination of experience and education may be qualifying.

Oregon driver license:  Yes or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of being hired.

Professional license or registration:  None required
