The Eugene Water & Electric Board is currently seeking a FERC License Coordinator to coordinate activities that assist in Hydro License compliance and Natural Resource Plan implementation, in particular on EWEB’s McKenzie River projects. The position will lead, as assigned, implementation of Resource plans in coordination with the National Forest Service. The position also establishes and maintains compliance procedures, processes and identifies necessary resources while independently coordinating agency and utility tasks. The FERC License Coordinator will effectively communicate with customers, EWEB staff, agency personnel, and the general public. The position will develop project work plans, identify necessary resources, coordinate agency and contractor efforts, and effectively resolve technical or public issues relating to projects or program area in addition to developing, populating and maintaining databases necessary to track compliance activities.

We are seeking an individual who is a creative self-starter capable of working on a multi-disciplined team of professionals with excellent interpersonal skills and an attention to detail. The successful candidate will have the ability to interpret legal documents and be able to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing regarding complex or sensitive information to a diverse audience including employees, customers, contractors; agencies; and the general public.
Minimum Experience: Three years progressively responsible experience related to electric power generation, FERC regulations, public policy or environmental programs.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Physical Sciences, Engineering or Public Policy and Administration or related field.

Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be qualifying.
