Responsible for acquiring environmental and land use permits and compliance with permit regulations and requirements. Responsible for the overall planning, coordination, preparation, acquisition, monitoring, compliance review and reporting of federal, state and local environmental permits, including SEPA, Hydraulic Project Approvals, Corps Sections 10 and 404, Shoreline Management Act, Habitat Management and Mitigation Plans, and Biological Evaluations/Assessments.
The incumbents assists in conducting field data collection and data entry for such areas as water quality, water rights, and aquatic invasive species. Provides assistance on environmental sampling and remedial actions on property mitigation projects. This may include field investigations, environmental restoration, and technical assistance on permitting, methods and materials.
Bachelor’s degree (B. S., B. A.) involving major study in environmental, physical, or one of the natural sciences, environmental planning or other related field from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires a minimum of three years’ experience with permit processing or similar regulatory compliance activities and working with external/internal stakeholders, local, state, and federal regulatory agencies, and other governmental entities.
