Enterprise Risk Management Program Manager #70282 Puget Sound Energy’s Enterprise Risk Management Department is looking for an Enterprise Risk Management Program Manager to join our team. This role supports the Director, Enterprise Risk Management regarding all aspects of the enterprise-wide risk management program, including developing and growing a sustainable risk intelligence enterprise program. The Enterprise Risk Management Program Manager will also be responsible for the identification of risks throughout the organization, developing and implementing methodologies for the assessment of risks throughout the organization, and reporting and monitoring risk mitigation progress. Provide guidance and direction to analysts that will conduct risk analytic assessments on key strategic, operational, financial and other identified enterprise risks. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Work closely with executive management to implement, sustain and improve an effective risk management program, with a framework supported by appropriate standards. Develop in-depth knowledge of key areas of risk within business areas. Recognize and communicate internal and external developments that may impact enterprise risk. Leverage risk information to understand and challenge business decisions. • Work directly with Officers, Directors, and Managers across the company to identify and communicate corporate risk issues. Partner with and coach leadership and employees to help identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks. Risk evaluation includes: identifying likelihood of occurrence, severity, velocity and longevity of risk occurrence, and identifying the organizations ability to respond to risk event. • Develop, implement and improve methodology for quantification of risk. Conduct analytics, and coach current and future analytic staff on analytic approaches, inputs and model development. • Consult with departments on developing metrics to show risk management progress and effectiveness. Track the implementation of mitigation activities of enterprise risks. Create, update, and modify monthly reporting mechanisms (reports, dashboards, etc.) to communicate status of risk mitigation efforts. Standardize and coach line of business units on consistent reporting principles. • Prepare documentation and presentation materials for various levels of management, including for executive and board-level audiences. Review risk management documentation to ensure clear linkages between risk drivers, mitigation activities and metrics. Present to and educate employees about PSEs enterprise risk management program. • Continuously look for ways to improve the ERM process. • Provide guidance and direction to analysts. • Performs other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Engineering, or similar disciplines • Five to seven years related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. • Experience with ERM frameworks such as ISO 31000, COSO, RIMS, or other similar standards. • Demonstrated experience in business/operational planning and sensitivity analysis • Strong analytical experience and process orientation (process documentation and identification of business requirements) • Excellent and influential written and verbal communicator across all levels of the organization, particularly with senior management. • Ability to influence without the benefit of positional authority. • Ability to challenge others, often in higher positions, respectfully. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, drive work forward with little supervision • Curious, desire to understand and drive to question • Skilled facilitator DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Board and executive/senior management reporting and analysis • Ten or more years of experience with enterprise risk management, including program design and implementation. • MBA degree • Utility experience • Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to coach others • Experience with internal or external audit process PSE is an equal opportunity employer.
