The Eugene Water & Electric Board is seeking an Engineering Manager to direct and manage the activities, projects, programs, and operations of Engineering, Environmental, Property, Physical Security and NERC Compliance functions within the utility. The selected candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of EWEB’s Master Planning and Capital Improvement Plans for the water and electric utilities, as well as ancillary plans that support EWEB’s mission, vision, and values. This position participates in EWEB’s Engineering and Operations Management Team to identify and accomplish, utility and corporate business objectives and to achieve the strategic goals as established by the General Manager and Chief Engineering and Operations Officer.

Experience Required:

Minimum Experience:  Ten years of progressively responsible experience in utility engineering at the senior technical level, program management with at least 5 years of supervisory and program management level experience.

Education: Engineering degree from an accredited college or university in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.

Desirable education, experience, training and certifications:  Project Management Professional.  Leadership Certification from an Industry approved program.

Equivalency:  An equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be qualifying.

Valid driver license: Yes

Professional license or registration:  Oregon Professional Engineers License or obtain reciprocity within 12 months of hire.

Supervision or Functional or Technical Oversight Exercised:  Exercises supervision over designated staff.
