ENGINEER III,ELECT R16-731

  • Perform the functions of a substation electrical engineer by providing sound engineering solutions to complex problems. Develop and oversee designs for new substations and retrofit of existing facilities. Provide technical support to construction crews on department designs.
    Develop, maintain, and review equipment specifications for:

    • Power circuit breakers and circuit switchers from 15kV through 230kV.
    • Distribution and bulk power transformers.
    • Transmission and distribution capacitor banks.
    • 15kV metalclad switchgear.
    • High voltage air-break disconnect switches.
    • 115kV Gas Insulated Switchgear.
Experience Required:

You will bring the following skills to our team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, five years of relevant engineering experience and a Professional Engineering License
  • Thorough knowledge of fundamental engineering/economics principles and concepts.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated solid level of professional knowledge, skills, and proficiency with current tools and technologies.
