Responsible for the overall human resource management for the Cooperative, which involves: benefit and compensation administration; hiring; personnel procedures and disciplinary issues; employee counseling; performance appraisal and personnel file management; internal employee communications and, employee training. Responsible for enhanced organizational capacity through the development of talent competencies, succession planning, workforce development, organizational effectiveness programs, leadership and coaching training. Partner with change management and safety personnel to increase employee engagement in these cultural priorities. Enhance internal communications initiatives. The Director of Human Resources is also appointed as the HIPAA Privacy Officer for the Cooperative.
Education: Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
Job Related Experience: Prefer at least 2 years managing the Human Resource needs of an organization.
Supervision Experience: Prefer at least 4 years.
Computer Skills: Must have strong computer skills, to include: advance knowledge and ability with Microsoft Word, spreadsheets, Windows, internet, and email.
Certificates & Licenses: Prefer PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification.
- Effective verbal communications and interpersonal skills, to include handling difficult situations and union negotiations.
- Must be self-directed and motivated to get things done timely and without direct supervision.
- Be willing to be involved in professional, community, and industry related community activities.
