The Eugene Water & Electric board seeks a Cyber Security Operations & Compliance Supervisor to direct and manage the work for a department of IT professionals within the Information Services division. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, acquisition, maintenance, replacement, integration, and continuous improvement of EWEB’s IT assets and associated processes, procedures, contracts, and agreements. The Cyber Security Operations & Compliance Supervisor ensures compliance with architecture guidelines and review processes and contributes to the creation of and successful completion of both the annual project plan and the annual O&M plan for respective departments. This position provides leadership in aligning strategic direction with overall organizational goals and partners with the business units to assist in planning and implementation efforts to meet EWEB customer needs in a cost effective and timely way. The Cyber Security Operations & Compliance Supervisor regularly monitors the performance of staff; develops and manages annual goals and assigned budget and ensures annual asset inventory and record keeping are current.

The Cyber Security Operations & Compliance Supervisor’s work may encompass the following areas of work: Customer Facing Services which includes Business Analysis, Project Management, Change Management and the Help Desk; Business Support Services; and Infrastructure Services which includes Data Services, Network Services and Cyber Security.

This position directs cyber security specialists to develop, maintain and execute an enterprise-wide information security operations program. The successful candidate will develop and implement a security program, including policies performance measures/standards and activities,that integrate IT security with objectives.They will direct the administration and implementation of security systems and best practices.
The Cyber Security Operations & Compliance Supervisor manages EWEB’s Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) programs to meet North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) and Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) reliability standards, and serves as the EWEB representative on CIP compliance issues. The successful candidate will represent EWEB at regional forums and meetings; participates in regional planning, operations and policy activities and provide information services expertise within EWEB on related topics.
Experience Required:
Requirements As A Qualification & Progression

Minimum Experience: Eight years of experience in one or more of the following areas: strategic planning, business functions, information resource management, or consulting in management information systems, including two years of supervisory, lead or project management experience.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or a closely related field.

Desirable education, experience, training and certifications: Utility industry experience is desirable.

Equivalency: An equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be qualifying.

Valid driver license: Yes, or ability to obtain one within 30 days of appointment.
