Job duties and responsibilities

  • Service customers making payments on their utility bills in person in a courteous manner.
  • Process and balance all receipts/cash daily.
  • Work with customers regarding past due accounts and make payment arrangements
  • Keep records of customer interactions and file documentation.
  • Manage large amounts of incoming calls.
  • Assist other customer service positions as needed.
  • Able to handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives
Experience Required:


  • Punctuality and regular attendance are required.
  • Able to work in a team environment.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail and good math skills is essential.
  • Ten-key adding machine by touch is required.
  • Comfortable using Excel and Word.
  • Have the ability to interact in a courteous and respectful manner with the general public.
  • Ability to exercise reasonable common sense and good judgment in the working environment.
  • Strong multi-tasking, prioritizing and time management skills.
  • Must be promotable to more responsible positions within the company.

EDUCATION and/or experience required

Associates Degree or equivalent experience in related field

Utility Experience a plus.

Customer call experience (preferred).

Fluent in Korean or Spanish a plus.
