Job duties and responsibilities
- Service customers making payments on their utility bills in person in a courteous manner.
- Process and balance all receipts/cash daily.
- Work with customers regarding past due accounts and make payment arrangements
- Keep records of customer interactions and file documentation.
- Manage large amounts of incoming calls.
- Assist other customer service positions as needed.
- Able to handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives
- Punctuality and regular attendance are required.
- Able to work in a team environment.
- Accuracy and attention to detail and good math skills is essential.
- Ten-key adding machine by touch is required.
- Comfortable using Excel and Word.
- Have the ability to interact in a courteous and respectful manner with the general public.
- Ability to exercise reasonable common sense and good judgment in the working environment.
- Strong multi-tasking, prioritizing and time management skills.
- Must be promotable to more responsible positions within the company.
EDUCATION and/or experience required
Associates Degree or equivalent experience in related field
Utility Experience a plus.
Customer call experience (preferred).
Fluent in Korean or Spanish a plus.
