ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Reliability Compliance Manager leads the District’s efforts to meet its statutory obligations in fulfilling all NERC reliability standards and WECC regional reliability standards.  They lead the District in providing stakeholder comment in the NERC and WECC standard development process and serve as the District member representative to WECC and RC West.  They will also represent the District as the primary NERC stakeholder and compliance contact.

EXPERIENCE, WORKING CONDITIONS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field with a minimum three (3) years’ experience in risk management or related field and five (5) years electrical experience in electric systems operations, generation and/or planning.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be qualifying.
  • Must be thoroughly familiar with all NERC and FERC regulatory processes as they relate to mandatory compliance with WECC reliability standards.   Must have at least five (5) years of in depth, demonstrative experience in FERC/NERC/WECC regulatory compliance, to include but not be limited to:  CIP Standards, Reliability Standards, knowledge of WECC and RCCo rules and regulatory activity.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineering License

The work environment conditions described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Work is typically performed in an office environment with some field work.
  • Work is performed Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.   Remote work is not available for this position.
