 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Power Resource Engineer is responsible to assist in the development, coordination and implementation of Business Unit initiatives and projects to assure an adequate and economical power supply for the District.   Some of the main duties this position will do is prepare report and coordinate compliance with the Renewable Portfolio Standards, resource emissions limits and other compliance reporting initiatives. In collaboration with other Power Resource team members coordinate and provide guidance and input to consultants in the preparation of the District’s Integrated Resource Plan, Conservation Potential Assessment and Clean Energy Implementation Plan. Perform studies and analyses of existing, new, and proposed power supplies.

Experience, Working Conditions and Other Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor level degree in Engineering (BSEE preferred), Economics, Mathematics or equivalent experience with power supply exposure within a utility setting.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics or Mathematics
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Certification in Microsoft Excel
