Wage or Salary:
Up to $33 per hour, DOE
CVEA’s Executive Assistant provides confidential, prompt, efficient, and accurate administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer, Senior Staff, and the Board of Directors.
Position Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the CEO and Senior Staff for written communications by creating, proofreading, and editing corporate documents
- Coordinate or organize meals and refreshments for employee meetings or events when necessary
- Function as recording secretary at board meetings, annual meetings, and any other meetings as directed by the CEO while maintaining strict confidentiality of matters discussed
- Compile and post board packets within the timeframe established in the Bylaws
- Notice all board meetings to the Membership through various designated sources
- Transcribe notes and audio recordings into draft minutes for review by the CEO
- Create, record, and maintain right-of-way easements and other corporate documents
- Maintain supplies and fulfill supply orders
- Run daily errands and make bank deposits
- Manage all travel for CEO, Senior Staff, Board of Directors, and employees
The Ideal Candidate Must:
- Be able to work well with others, work independently, and meet predetermined deadlines
- Possess excellent English grammar, punctuation, spelling, composition, and proofreading skills
- Possess advanced ability with personal computer skills, particularly Microsoft programs
- Be able to produce accurate and detail-oriented documents
- Be able to function in a professional setting and maintain confidentiality of corporate information
- Possess a good understanding of parliamentary procedures and Robert’s Rules of Order
- Possess an intuitiveness to allow for decision-making and reaction to various situations
- Perform all position responsibilities in accordance with CVEA policies, procedures and safety rules
- Maintain a valid Alaska driver’s license
- Reside in the Copper Basin district
Education & Experience:
- A high school diploma
- At least three year’s secretarial and general office experience
Compensation:
The salary is up to $33.00 per hour, depending upon qualifications and relevant experience of the candidate.
