Light Mechanic

Columbia REA is seeking a highly motivated individual for a Light Mechanic position in our Walla Walla location.

Responsibilities include keeping the fleet vehicle and support equipment in good working order.  This position troubleshoots, repairs and maintains fleet vehicles and other production equipment, maintains documentation on accompanying repairs, servicing vehicles and scheduling external service and repairs.

Candidate must have 5 years continuous experience in the repair and maintenance of large and small vehicles, completion of a two-year vehicle repair program, equivalent trade school or training in equipment repairs and maintenance. Applicants must be able to perform FMCSA required annual DOT Inspections on commercial vehicles and trailers. This position requires a Class A CDL endorsement (preferred) or ability to obtain within 9 months of employment, First Aid/CPR, Flaggers card and current fork lift training.  Candidates must provide their own basic mechanic hand tools necessary to perform daily job duties. Specialized or large equipment will be provided by the company.

Salary Range: $45.00/hour.
