GIS Specialist

Columbia Rural Electric Association is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of GIS Specialist located at the Cooperative’s Walla Walla Service Center.

The successful candidate hired for this position will have multiple responsibilities relating to the Cooperative’s Geographic Information System, including: updating maps, log books, and work order processes associated with all line surveying; investigating, surveying and staking electric distribution and transmission lines in accordance with construction specifications; receiving, analyzing and inputting engineering data to be used in the development of system databases and GIS designs to reflect existing system status; and building and maintaining an integrated relationship with the billing, engineering and outage information system databases. Responsibilities may also include drafting specifications and drawings as needed.

Minimum qualifications include an Associate of Arts Degree in Engineering (or equivalent).  Additional academic accomplishments in GIS computer hardware/software, ESRI and electric utility procedures highly preferred.

Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal communications and time management skills and possess a valid driver’s license.

Columbia REA offers an exceptional compensation and benefit package including; pension, 401K, medical, dental and vision.    Wage range for this position:  $51,882-91,498.
