The Human Resources Department is accepting applications for the Regular and Full-time position of Electric Technology System Technician in the Electric Department.
The normal work schedule is Monday through Friday, occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Employees will be required to work an on-call schedule; during an on-call schedule, the employee must be able to report to the City of Roseville worksites within the department’s established timeframe. A flex schedule may be available.
The City of Roseville Electric Technology Systems Department is seeking a skilled technician to join our team. This role is essential in advancing our Critical Infrastructure, ICS/OT technologies and ideas.
The ideal candidate will have a background in:
SCADA/DCS: Real-Time data, logic processing, telemetry & protocols
Infrastructure Systems: Servers, VMs, Networking, Backups
Security: IP Cameras, local and State laws, Badge systems, Cybersecurity
Documentation: Visio, CAD, MS Office suites
Compliance: NERC CIP Standards, Disaster Recovery

Additional Information:Minimum Qualifications
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
Experience:
- Two years of responsible technical experience providing utility computer systems support work, preferably in SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) or DCS (Distributed Control System).
AND
Training:
- An Associate’s degree or 60 semester units of college level course work including 18 units in a major field of study and 21 units in general education from an accredited college or university, preferably in computer science, engineering, electronics, or a related field.
- Two years of additional related work experience can substitute for an Associate’s Degree.
License or Certificate
Possession of a valid California driver’s license by date of appointment.
