The City of Ellensburg has a vacancy for a temporary journey-level lineperson. This position has no benefits. This position consists of construction, maintenance, inspection, and operation of overhead and underground electrical distribution system, energized or de-energized, in accordance with applicable City practices and safety regulations. This position reports to the Line Foreperson.
This position is Open Until Filled. However, applications will be reviewed as they are received and the position will be filled as soon as possible.
Salary: $74.08/hour (2020 wage) per working contract which is based on construction rate and construction fringe benefits.
High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of a three-year apprentice program and one-year experience at journey-level lineperson recognized by the City of Ellensburg and I.B.E.W. 77. Recent training in pole top rescue, bucket rescue, vault rescue, confined space, and trenching & excavation
The City of Ellensburg is required by federal regulation to administer a testing program for controlled substance and alcohol use for employees required to have and maintain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). This position is covered under the City of Ellensburg Substance Abuse Testing Policy
