The Board of Directors of Valley Electric Association, Inc. (VEA) invites applications for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The VEA Board has contracted with NRECA’s Executive Search to facilitate the search process.

Valley Electric Association, Inc. is a member-owned electric cooperative with 200+ employees headquartered in Pahrump, Nevada. VEA provides services to more than 45,000 people within a vast 6,800-square-mile service area located primarily along the California-Nevada border, with the majority in Nevada. Residential members are the coop’s largest single consumer group. VEA serves high-profile federal government facilities in Nevada, including the Nevada National Security Site and Creech Air Force Base. Must pass government security clearance requirements. VEA is very member and community focused. VEA is a participating transmission owner and load serving entity in the California Independent System of Operators Corporation (CAISO).
VEA is the parent company to a host of wholly-owned subsidiaries, including Valley Electric Transmission Association (VETA), Valley Communication Association (VCA), Valley Electric Utility Services (VEUS), and Valley Electric Energy Services (VEES).
Pahrump Nevada is located in the southeast corner of Nye County, 60 miles west of Las Vegas and just a few short hours from southern California which includes Disneyland and SeaWorld. Pahrump has a population of 35,000. Activities include golfing, wine tasting, racing sports, hunting, hiking, fishing, skiing and numerous outdoor activities.
