Big Bend Electric Cooperative Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Lineman for our Mesa, WA location. Mesa is located approximately 30 miles north of Pasco, WA (Tri-Cities). Come join our co-op utility where our employees enjoy a four-day workweek, generous benefits package and a team atmosphere!

Job Description

Constructs and installs overhead and underground distribution lines. Work processes include, digging holes, setting poles, climbing poles, stringing wire, trenching for underground primary and secondary, installing transformers, regulators, reclosers, installing metering and reading meters.

 Requirements

  • Certified Journeyman Lineman
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with CDL Class A
  • First aid, CPR certification and pole top rescue
  • Applicants must possess the physical abilities to perform strenuous work (able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during the workday).
  • Must be willing and available for after-hours call outs

 Pre-employment screening

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment physical, background check and drug test.

The applicant must reside within 35 miles of the Mesa office or will have 1 year to relocate within that distance.
