Welcome to the NWPPA Government Relations Committee Basecamp
To avoid any actions or discussions that could conceivably raise antitrust law concerns, and to protect NWPPA and its members from possible lawsuits, it is important to refrain from discussing or sharing salary, cost, and price information on any of our Basecamps.
Materials in Basecamp may contain confidential and/or legally privileged information. The intended use is for NWPPA member utilities and their employees only. Please do not distribute outside your organization.
NWPPA’s Government Relations Committee (GRC) meets three times each year, in conjunction with board meetings, at various locations throughout our membership area. This committee develops resolutions in support of public power and also drafts specific issue-related resolutions that can be sent to legislators to convey public power’s stance on particular pieces of legislation. The GRC sponsors yearly Washington, D.C. visitation trips to meet with the Western Congressional Delegation to educate staff and legislators on issues affecting our membership or public power in general. All NWPPA member systems are encouraged to participate in this committee. NWPPA maintains a Web-site containing legislative resources for its members. Additionally, GRC members recently requested that NWPPA host an online, secure site (Basecamp) for its GRC members to use as a discussion forum.
Basecamp is a secure, invite-only Internet communications tool used to send or broadcast messages, hold ongoing discussions, share files, and more. All NWPPA GRC members are invited to participate in this GRC Basecamp. The items below are the latest activity on the site. To find a complete list of questions and comments, click on the Messages tab and select from the list of Categories.
