VANCOUVER, WASH. – Congratulations to the 2020 Northwest Public Power Association Safety Award winners!
Safety contest awards are based upon a review of each utility’s safety contest form, the number of recordable injury/illness cases (the incident rate) in 2019, and the lost work days (the severity rate) in 2019.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, NWPPA canceled this year’s Engineering & Operations Conference and Trade Show, where the awards are normally presented. This year’s awards will be mailed to their respective utilities as soon as possible. We look forward to presenting the 2021 Safety Awards in person at the 2021 E&O in Tacoma, Wash., April 13-15.
